Graduated from Cornerstone University with a B.A. in Music Performance - Guitar major / Piano minor
Some career highlights:
- Lonesome Highway (Bob Dylan tribute band): Fronted the band as Bob Dylan. Lead vocals, guitar, keys and harmonica. Appearances at Woodstock Opera House, Metropolis Performing Arts Centre, Skokie Theatre, among many other venues. (2010 - present)
- Broken Arrow (Tribute to Neil Young): Lead electric guitar and vocals (2008 – 2014)
- Recording and touring playing lead guitar and keys for such acts as Randy Stonehill, Samantha Crain, and Liza Day (2006 – 2017)
- Swell Suburbia: Songwriter, lead guitar and vocals for original power-pop trio (2008 – 2017)
- 2017-present: The Phonographs - The Ian Hall Band - Crying Fits
- Solo artist: Playing solo sets that cover a long list of classic rock artists from the 50s-90s, including The Beatles, Tom Petty, Velvet Underground, Big Star and Bob Dylan.
- Teaching guitar, keyboard, bass, vocals, harmonica and perfect pitch at School of Rock (Arlington Heights), Bucktown Music. and Pearl Street Music since 2003.
- Note: Perfect pitch training only ages 5 months to 3 yrs old. One parent/guardian must be present during lessons.
